Anime Midwest 2019
Hello, I'm back
So fast forward a year after my Elias cosplay and we get to AMid 2019.
You would think that I've learned my lesson about bulky cosplay but nope. This time, it was Goblin Slayer.

Okay, I think it was because it's a full-mask cosplay that motivated me to cosplay as him this time around. As I've mentioned earlier, I'm kinda shy so being able to cosplay while hiding my face was a total no-brainer for me.

This time, a new material has appeared... foam! A good chunk of the cosplay was shaping foam to the correct shape which took a bit of effort. If I had to redo it, I'd definitely would do some other changes I would have done instead. Still, it was fun. I ended up going with a larger group this time. In addition to my brothers, one of their fiancée's siblings also tagged along with us. At one point they were keeping track of how many times I got asked to take a picture with them and it ended up breaking the double digits. Totally satisfied.
What's even better was we had an awesome all you can eat Korean BBQ afterwards, yum!
Con-Alt-Delete?
The people who run AMid also run another convention in December, Con-Alt-Delete or CAD. Granted, it's definitely smaller but I was aware of that going in. If anything, it only fueled my desire to attend the bigger convention... Anime Central the following year. Unfortunately due to COVID-19 though, this as well as a majority of other conventions this year were postponed until 2021.
Special thanks to Tian for the Jiji hoodie! ❤
