Figure Dump: EXQ

figures Apr 28, 2021

Just dumping pictures of some of my old figures that's been collecting dust. I decided to return most of them to their box while I figure out how to reorganize them all.

EXQ Figures

EXQ is a line of figures from Banpresto. They're roughly 8" tall each, but are pretty affordable compared to other figures of the same size at around $20-30 a piece. They usually come with a base and are usually assembled in a few pieces, but are not posable. In terms of quality they're pretty good, though don't expect anything too elaborate.

Sword Art Online

Sword Art Online is a pretty popular anime and I've collected a good chunk of EXQ figures from this series.

Code Register (Towel ver.)

I'm actually missing Sinon from this set I think, unfortunate.

Each figure in this set come with a colored hinoki bath bucket and towel.

Looking closer, there's some seams on various parts of the body, often on the arms or the foot where it attaches to the base.

Visible seams on the arm.
Still some seams here, but less visible on Leafa.
A bit more visible on Yuuki.
Some seams on the ankle here.

More Code Register and Memory Defrag figures

Here are some more SAO figures in the EXQ series. Some of the figures here don't have a base since they are stable either kneeling or sitting down.

Alice looking very different without her Integrity Knight outfit.
Leafa. Didn't really notice how long hair was before.
Sinon in a cat-maid outfit with her ALO avatar.
Another Sinon but this time her normal look.
That semi-transparent outfit looks pretty good.
But you can see some scuffs on her hand... though it's not so obvious from further away.
Yuuki looking innocent with this white dress.

EXQ figures that aren't Sword Art Online

Rimuru!

I'll admit, out of my entire collection I think I have <10% male figures and part of it is just cause:

  • I don't really watch much shōnen anime
  • The anime that I do watch don't often have male figures that I want to get

But I think Rimuru from the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime! series is an exception. (I wouldn't mind getting a Goblin Slayer figure either, to be fair.)

Since Rimuru is a slime, this figure has a nice hybrid base that morphs into his legs.
The sword looks pretty good too, and it's not awkwardly placed either.
Overall a pretty good figure.

Shizu!

I should really finish watching the new season...

Similar blue base but she has proper legs this time.
FYI - This is what they usually look like unassembled. You just slot them together (held by friction) and they're good to go.

Ram!

I unfortunately never got around to buying the Rem version of this figure, maybe some day I'll complete it.

Kyoko!

If you haven't watched Madoka Magica, then you should.

And finally...

I actually haven't opened this one yet. She's from F/GO but I don't exactly know who she is.

That's it for the EXQ figures in my list.
