Frames Arms Girl and a Tsundere Figure (and a spa trip!)

Since it was close to my mom's birthday, I decided I'd take us to a sauna. It was my first time going to one, but after experiencing it once, I'm totally open to going again one day.

It was a pretty unique experience. The one I chose to go to was a Korean jjimjilbang (찜질방) and if I understand correctly, it's one of the few (if there are more) that are in the Chicagoland area. Now I can't really compare it to other normal spas, but according to the Wikipedia page on it:

A jjimjilbang is a large, sex-segregated public bathhouse in South Korea, furnished with hot tubs, showers, Korean traditional kiln saunas and massage tables.

That's pretty accurate to what I experienced. After I got over the beginning area where the gendered shower/hot tub/sauna area was fully nude, everything else was fine. It was a bit pricey, but it was a relaxing getaway experience that I've never done before and would recommend.

Definitely agree though, if you want to save a bit – grab food before heading on in unless you want $10 boba and $20 rice sets.

In addition to a spa trip with the family, I was in the mood to buy another figure so off I went hunting...

My adventures ended up with me visiting my local Kinokuniya store. Inside, I ended up picking something I haven't really tried before – one of those model kit sets. Usually, I'm not a huge fan of them since I'm okay with mecha and robots, but not really actively looking for display figures of them, but I remembered last time that there was a Miku kit as well as a few other mecha girls on display.

When I got there unfortunately, the selection felt a bit more limited than usual, I guess they haven't resupplied in a while maybe? Either way, I only saw the Miku figure on display, but didn't see any in stock. I did see the Frame Arms Girls though, and I was interested enough to pick one up.

Unlike normal figures that you just put together without any tools, this one comes with pieces still on the plastic molding, so you'll need a pair of small side cutters to assemble it together.

The instructions are pretty straightforward. No glue is required, and it's pre-painted so you don't have to worry about painting it afterwards unless you want to. I might go back and glue it together to make it more stable, but it's fine as is.

She looks pretty cute in my opinion. I have yet to put on the decal stickers, but I'll do that another day. Definitely would consider getting another kit in the future (and there are a few that you can combine as well!)

As for the tsundere I alluded to in the title, it is no other than Chizuru from Kanojo Okarishimasu (Rent a Girlfriend).

I didn't watch the anime but I did keep up with the manga to some extent, though I think I'm behind a tad bit now.
